Is it easy to get a stock LS6 with long tube headers down to 350 hp?

I'm also looking for an M6 trans if anybody has one.
Hmmm... this is very very interesting. What if you keep the MN12 trans? What's the weight/power then? This opens up a huge can of worms for me.

The drop-out rate is depressing.

My guess is that you can run 364hp with an MN12, at 3120lb, per one of my reclass options.

Here are the options, all with C5Z suspension as the base:

364 - MN6 - 3190
364 - MN12 - 3120
354 - MN6 - 3120

All that aside, no one wants to bring a knife to a gun fight.

To answer the question of this thread, I am signed up for PTA for Nationals and am excited for my first Nationals Race. I will just be hanging back behind all you fast guys hoping you all get DQ'd for passing under yellow. Either way it will be fun I am sure. No TTA for me as PTA built car and slow driver not so good for TTA.

No matter what, it will be a fun time getting together with everyone and talking cars and racing around the track. Oh yeah beer always tastes better at the track after a busy day of racing.

It would seem all that "MOO COW" beer we been supplying the flaggers with should get us a couple favors Roar. You will just have to hold back at the right places and I think we could get a bunch of them DQ'ed!!!

Thanks, I have always said it is better to be lucky than good! It was GREAT to put a competitive time down the event before NATS as opposed to the last two years where I crashed at AUTOBAHN in 2010 and Joel, Rory, and I rented a garage in Utah to rebuild the car finishing third in TTS. And then the fond memory of MID "O" in 2011 where I totaled the car out in August thereby making it impossible to compete at NATS. The bright side of totaling the car out last year....it allowed me to get one of those PHAST BLUE CARS that the Raft gang runs and "voila" the next thing you know ya got yourself a 1:30.2!

I was going to do the opposite this year (didn't get enough PTA races in) was going to focus on TTA since doing both last year made for a crappy effort at either.

Alas, my work schedule isn't going to permit nationals this year (doing nats would put me gone 19 of 24 days during the bulk of sept) which is not appealing to me or the wife and kids.

Looks like a "mini nats" is ramping up for VIR in Oct, so that is shaping up to be a fun looking weekend with a big fast field

What's the date on that event? Maybe it's time.

Can I run with you PTA guys even though my car is technically SU (unclassified)?

We need to start a VIR October thread and coordinate if we're racing or TTing. I know you want to gun for the TTA record, but I'm itching to race. We should all just race ST2.

don't we have to do 4 races/yr to keep our comp license? if so, I will (need to) bum around in ST2 or PTA possibly.

but yeah, there to chase your TT record mostly

I was told no, you don't have to race a certain amount of races each year to keep your comp license.
