Default LG Billet Spindles for Street, Road Race, or Drag racing.

Hi guys,

With the growing popularity of our latest line of billet spindles, I thought I would take some time to show you a bit more comparison between the units.

As you may know already we have a few different options for you when you want, or need to change the suspension geometry on your Corvette.

The most popular over the years has been our LG Billet Drop Spindles. These were built and developed on our LG World Challenge SCCA Corvette racers. These will drop your car, one full 1" over stock while maintaining the correct suspension control arm geometry. We also adjust camber and bump steer as well to correct for the new wheel bearing placement. Also due to the design, material, and construction you will have a much more robust mount for the wheel bearing and brake. With the stronger spindle also comes improved pad wear, and high speed stability is also improved. This was recently tested in Berlin Germany and Gross Dolln at speeds in excess of 215 MPH!!

All stock features re-install on the spindles, so any brake kit, wheel bearing, and bump steer kit will install just like OEM. Upper ball joints are now a replaceable mono ball and come supplied installed into the spindle.

Those wanting something more fitting of a straight line car would be interested in our latest, the LG Billet Drag spindle. These again retain all of the stock features for parking brake, wheel bearing, and brake locations but offer a shortened height to allow the install of a smaller 15" drag wheel/tire combo, something that could not have been done in the past and most were limited to a 17" wheel. Guys like Rodney at RPM Transmission and Mark Carlyle have already proven the reductions in 60' times by having a solid 15" setup on the car.

Take a look at the comparison to the OEM spindles below.

Some words from the man himself, Lou Gigliotti

The spindles have been proven, tested, and winning around the world. Our drag spindles are on the fastest IRS drag Corvette's and you can find the drop spindles on winning SCCA Corvette's as well as your local AutoX champion! When your Corvette is ready for a serious upgrade look to LG Motorsports for all of your needs.

I have both models in stock and ready to ship. Just call us here direct or through one of our excellent dealers. Drop spindles can be bought as a set of four, or in pairs for those Pro-Touring guys using Corvette front or rear suspension systems. Drag spindles are sold in pairs.

One thing that I did not mention yesterday.

With the Drop Spindles...

By lowering the car at the wheel, not only can you keep your suspension geometry in the normal locations but you also retain full travel of the shock. When you lower the car on stock bolts, or go to an aftermarket lowering bolt you loose that travel on the shock, and will be very close, if not riding the bump stops.

Now most of the good coil overs out there are going to give you correct travel...at least the good ones will. But this will retain a lot more travel to the shock.

Remember to check with our great dealer network as well on excellent pricing on these.

For those of you not in the Dallas area, some of the shops are even running them on their own cars as well as customer cars. Take the guys at SpeedSouth who have been using many of our items including the G2 coil overs and drop spindles for winning races here in the SouthEastern US.

Talk to your local dealer about LG Motorsports products today! You can find more dealers like Speed South on our home page as well.
