But ther ARE laws on the books. Look up loansharking and racketeering. There are limits on how much interest you can charge (and I'm pretty sure it's less than 400%).

yeah if people take the time to read the itwatch website it is very interesting for sure, his clock is ticking imho before he ends up in jail again from what it seems.
maybe SCCA or ALMS should put a colorado race on the schedule for next year
surprised none of the car web journal sites have picked up on this story
Are you sure you are not confusing the word "allegation" with a "fact?" QUOTE]
The substantiation of the facts has been fully documented in the iWatch publication. The exact sources have been cited and documented with bullseye precision. Which part don't you understand as being factual?

I just had a couple thoughts about this deal.
First, I think we should get all the people who were screwed by "Tucker and Tribe Loan Sharks" and any others currently borrowing to borrow $millions on payday loans. Borrow everything they have. Then when they come banging on the doors for payments, just instruct them all to say the following: "I'm protected by the sovereign nation of the USA and you can go pound sand. In my country we don't pay 400% interest. Sue me". I'd love to see Tucker and Tribe try to get their money back from thousands of deadbeats on shady loans .
My 2nd thought is for punishment Tucker should be forced into his worse nightmare: driving underdog cars at national races for the next five years. Maybe a C5 T1 car on a 2nd hand stock ls6 and stock brakes .

This is true... if he were doing business w/o the shelter of the whole Indian tribe thing. Him finding the loophole let his charge whatever he wants. Now if their legaleze is extremely misleading or outright false then I take back everything I've said. I just have little sympathy for someone who knowingly accepts a 400% loan.

Again absolutely untrue, there is no arrest warrent for Scott Tucker in Colorado. You hide under the cloak of internet anomymity portraying yourself as a pillar of virtue yet you defame Scott Tucker by stating on a public internet forum that an arrest warrent stands for his arrest in the State of Colorado. You should educate yourself on Online Defamation law(libel) before you spew off anymore half truths. How would you like it if someone falsely said that about you and published it on the internet. You are certainly entitled to your opinion but don't fabricate the truth. I have full faith that due process will run its course for Scott Tucker.
Read this:

In 2009, Tucker’s lawyers convinced a local Kansas judge to block Colorado court orders, arguing that Colorado courts have no power in Kansas. States are trying to appeal that decision, see below, but as it stands, there is no arrest warrent:

I'm all for the innocent until proven guilty provisions of our legal system but with one felony conviction already (for the same thing!), to even be associated with something like this makes him guilty as original sin. Whatever anybody says about him, he's got coming whether he is convicted or not and he did it to himself.

Hopefully he has squirrelled enough money away to pay for expensive lawyers. The corporate lawyers have been having a heyday in court on his ill gotten money. The bad news is the government trying to prosecute is racking up huge bills and the poor guys are still paying 436% interest. Normally all other avenues for loans are exhausted before they head to these doors.

Are you sure Sperkins doesn't belong in the idle rich category?
Racing is tailor made for this if you think about it. We can spend huge sums of money with no questions, outside the home. We work all day and night with no one wondering what we are really doing. We have tow rigs, trailers and dead cars all over the place with constant movement. We get deliveries night and day with no questions. We run the interstates at all hours of the night and day. We can mingle with low lifes (Falcon comes to mind), the unemployed (Sperkins) and the idle rich (ZO6Cool) with no one considering what the reason for the association is.
I wonder how many "racers" are undercover agents?

Then annualize that (x12).
And don't post that it's a "fee". California politicians have been sticking it to all their residents for years by calling new taxes "fees" because passing a "tax" took a 2/3 vote of legislature.
So OK for B of A, but not this schmuck?
Just sayin.
