Default Rear toe link/tie rod end

I need to replace the outer rear tie rod ends on my '05 C6 (with z51 if it matters). I've been through 2 OEM ones already, so I want to try something different. I tried to order the heavy duty ones from VB&P, but they have been out of stock since last fall and don't appear to be getting more in.

In my searching through the forum for tie rod ends, Moog always seems to come up. Anybody know if they make a the rear tie rod end for a C6? Any other recommended brands? Where can I get them?

I might also be willing to replace the whole toe link if anybody has some recommendations...

why are the failing? If you are wrapping them with heat tape for track days, they should last for several seasons..

Sorry, not the cleanest underside but functional. That is really weird, I have run for 3 years and never a problem.

http://www.firesleeveandtape.com/as1...iresleeve.html I use the 1 1/2 diameter and it stretches for all joints and rod ends.

Aaron's are well done (even the uppers, which don't really get any heat exposure), but honestly, most of the damage comes from radiant heat (not convection or conduction), so even reflective HVAC or chrome duct tape helps A LOT!

I use aluminum tape & also works good to keep your stick on wheel weights in place.

The originals lasted for 3 seasons, and then the boots ripped. So I replace them and the boots ripped on those in less than a year. They weren't wrapped, so I am doing that this year, but maybe I have another problem?

You could use a set of Baer tracker tie rod ends, it's also a bump steer kit so you can adjust for that.

They are $170 for a set at Jegs, I would still wrap the ends thought.

Over 6 seasons I put 6 tie rod ends on my 03. Two in the front and 4 in the rear. First time all 4 boots were gone and the ends were loose. Second time both the rear ends were quite loose but the boots were in great shape.
