Trouble with DTE core refund?
Has anyone else had problems refunding the $750 deposit for a returned core from DTE Dynotech Powertrain?
They said it would take a maximum of 3 weeks. They're told me over the phone the core is good, after it was sent to them Federal Express on December 11th. After two calls they haven't credited my Visa card!
I'm carrying this interest for this $750 since it was ordered in October!
On top of that, the C5R rearend wasn't started with the deposit and they wanted all of it before starting it! I'm still missing it's tag which I've been told is on backorder from their supplier.
Sorry, but I'm not happy!

Wow, I didn't realize it, but it's been nearly 4 months to the day since I've been on this forum. Time really fly's by!
Relax Mr. Colvert and grab a cup of coffee, as there is no need to get into a panic here and I'll see to it that Jenny takes care of you in the morning when I step into the office. We always shut the shop down every year for vacation from December 24th. to January 1st., so your refund processing probably slipped through the cracks during that downtime we were away, but will be taken care of as we take care of everyone else. No biggie here, a simple clerical error on her part (she's human afterall) and thanks for calling today to remind us.
Lastly.. When we finally received our back-ordered aluminum name plates from our supplier, they used our new business logo that we sent them, but they used our incorrect old website address, instead of our new one- which is unacceptable. Our old website address will be entirely phased out/non-linked to our new web address by the end of February, so we cannot have 500 name plates with the wrong contact information on them....
Also, as I've told you a couple of times now already, when we get the right nameplates in from our supplier with the correct information stamped on them, you will get one. No one has forgot about you.
Have a great day and as I said before, Jenny will take care of you tomorrow. Happy motoring.

Good question and thanks for asking...
The "economic climate" here is warm and sunny, as we've expanded into other lucrative areas of component manufacturing, CAD of those products and offering our expanded services not only for us, but for other companies we work with also. Plus, after purchasing our new (to us) 9,800 sq./ft. facility here last April, we're still remodeling the place to make it the way we want it, while still successfully fullfilling customer and dealer orders. Lastly, since my daughter is now 19 months old and we have another one on the way in May, my family is now my first priority, where I don't live at the shop 107+ hours per week like I used to when I was single, without children and un-married. Being a successful businessman, bringing quality products and service to the marketplace, being a good father for my children and a being good husband for my wife doesn't require that I be on this forum every waking moment- as most tuners/manufacturer's that have focused more intently on running their business's more efficiently these days have also found. It's not that I'm "out of touch" with anyone or that our service lacks because we're not on here 24/7/365, it just simply means that I'm very focused on running my business successfully and efficiently; correcting any concerns quickly and swiftly. (Just like we did for Mr. Colvert today)
BTW- Mr. Colvert received his core refund this morning- just as I stated he would after I looked into it for him.
Happy motoring gents!
