What causes this?

Is it simply a rich fuel mixture (with no cats) that was ignited by the pipes high temeratures or is there something else going on here? Maybe a crappy tune? It looks really cool, but I'd like to avoid it if at all possible?

When I went to EFI 101 they talked about it, when the engine is on decel you can add a little fuel to help cool the motor, this will cause the flames like in the video and cause you to loose a little milage. It won't necassarily hurt the motor but remember our bumpers are plastic and it could cause an issue. Plus unless you have strait pipes it would completely toast your cats, and it could cause your mufflers to blow out. Hasn't anyone here ever done a "key bomb"?
