The big thing is wheel clearance. I just measured it and you will need a minimum of 65mm from the rotor face to the inside of the wheel spokes and really more like 70mm to be on the safe side. The 18x11 CCW shown has another 25mm beyond that! It was pointed out to me that not everyone knows what an "air bridge " looks like. Here is the SLA model of the Radi-cal air bridge and one on another AP caliper. The Corvette specific air bridge will be similar.
SLA model:

Those are very groovy. I've been diggin' them since they were introduced. Here's to innovative engineering. Not everything has been thought of yet and AP just raised the bar for caliper design big time.

Default Here's a dumb question

How does the air bridge work? If you're pumping air from the center of the rotor to the outside edge, wont the air stall at the edge of the rotor if you have air pressure from the bridge?, Or is it a vacuum?

Figured it out....I think. It is pushing air down the sides to cool the pistons and fluid, not from the top on to the rotor.

It takes air and routes it over the top of the caliper in a sealed duct, 1/2 of which is the caliper itself, helping cool the center of the caliper. Then it blows down between the outer pistons, cooling them and then exiting on to the outer rotor face. The outer face of the rotor gets very little air as compared to the inner face and center. This helps that issue. Structurally, it is brilliant since the air bridge is not only cooling, it is a very wide stiffener as well. Caliper stiffness is not just about spreading due to the piston force. There is a lot of dynamic deflection in a caliper where the outer side of the caliper is trying to go with the rotor rotation causing a shearing action. The Radi-cal has the wide air bridge half plus the diagonal stiffeners and an outer ring that makes this the stiffest caliper possible. This is much more than a trick caliper, it is a system solution that optimizes the entire braking system.

3 5/16" is what I measure on the CCW C140 18x11s on my C6 non-Z, rotor face to spoke. As we know now the 18x11 is a bit wide for a C6 non-Z. An 18x10 will pull 1/2" inward to 2 13/16" (71mm). So plenty of room with CCWs on a C6 non-Z, too.

Wow those are very cool. Are the Brembo's a slightly longer caliper? Is there a possibility of any other colored calipers or just the one color? Can you get the PFC 01 compound for these yet?

Can't wait to see how what the cost is going to be. I am very interested. Thanks -Eric

Yes PFC 01 is available. These calipers are "racing only" so that this is the color that is available. I will ask the question though, if they can be anodized another color. The Brembo shown for Corvettes is longer and narrower, but there are many Brembo calipers available. FYI, Brembo owns AP, in that they have they ultimately have same CFO, but are separate companies operationally.

Wow guess I never realized that about Brembo owning AP. Thanks for the info. Yeah that would be great if they could be anodized different colors since they are not painted on. Thanks for the reply.

Here is a detail pic of the "castleated" thin wall stainless steel pistons, and the SS pad abutments. The pistons are cut this way to reduce heat transfer into the fluid.

I'm guessing with the situation the banks are in you would be better off with the gas station! I'll bet it will require at least 2 banks minimum.
