Sorry for the lame comparison, but kinda makes me think about back when 16x DVD burners first came out, but you could only (realistically) buy 8x writeable DVDs...everyone bought the burners, but didnt realize they werent gaining anything since the media they used couldnt reap the benefits...
i ran slicks with poly bushings and it makes the vette drive like a formula car! koni's didn't hurt either

Thanks, Frank.

BTW, this two Corvettes were two NASA TTU (or SCCA ITE) cars both were C6's Z 06's with APR wings and splitters, putting down 800 lbs. of downforce. With less aero, the advantage could be less. Both were almost exactly 2 seconds from the Hoosier R6 times.

To the guy with the C6Z asking about tire sizes, for 18x11.5 and 18x13 you can run the 30/65-18s in front and the 31/71-18s in the rear. The taller rear tires are the new technology. They track the surface better and give more even temps.

As far as camber and car setup is concerned, each car is different. Driver preference, track, conditions etc all come into play. Generally you want to have at least 2 in the front and 1.25 in the rear if possible. Closer to 3 in front and 2 in the rear is better.

Like I said each car is different and tire pressures play a huge role in performance. The user should be able to take pressures and temps across the tires to optimize the tires performance.

Cliff notes version. Shoot for 31 psi tire pressure HOT and at least 2 degrees in front of camber. Slightly less camber in the rear.

I have the full Michelin write up and catalog on these tires I can email to you if you would like more information. Including tips, tire pressures, temps, and how to work with the data logged at the track. Please send a email request to bowmanized@gmail.com for more information.

Thanks,

Mike

Does this work?

I've not sold a 29/65 or 28/71, generally you either go 27/65 or 30/65 unless it's a C6Z and you can do the 30/65 and 31/71 same as GT1 C6R.

27/65s all the way around is $1295 shipped right now on sale.

Thanks,

Mike

For you guys with C6Z's and CCW 11 X 18's and 13 X18's what sizes have you run? Also, if any of you run in competitive mode have you noticed whether or not the diameters work for the stability control system? I currently run the Hoosier R6's in 295 and 345 sizes and those sizes seem to work well.

Spring and shock question: How thick are the sidewalls relative to the Hoosier A and R series? If you're going heavy into tires as this, you would want to get every part of the setup right. Thanks for info, and for making these superb tires part of the arsenal.
