You weight 180????

Dear gawd, man, that's only ten pounds light than me. I would have thought 160ish. I am jealous...

Yup, The last time I was 160 was in highschool 19 years ago! Freeking Metabolism isn't as good at 36 as it was at 18.

So your at 200 with all your gear on? You must have confused me with AJ, now that guy looks 160ish.

Got that pretty red Viper gutted yet?

Looks great.......we get ours out of the shop tomorrow and the diet begins. Hope ours looks as good as yours after I yank everything out. Phoenix did ours too but don't know if the paint work was done (Evan?) Sure hope so. 3181 loaded is pretty amazing. I am hoping to get within 50......and my driver is quite a bit lighter I would say!!

Glad you mentioned the traction contol button and fuel release.......had forgotten all about dealing with that issue. Might relocate the 'functions' up to the switch panel I have where the old radio deck was......two momentary switches should do the trick.

Wait a minute Steve. You still need to lose some weight. I hear you are going to 24 hour fitness twice a day....

Apologies if this is a stupid question, but are you guys allowed to remove motor weight such as AC parts and cats?

C5's are amazingly light. I completely ripped damn near EVERYTHING out of my C4, all electronics including 50 lbs of wiring, ABS hardware, headlights, dash, even added some lightweight parts (windshield, roof, etc), and it still comes in around 3000.

A/C parts and cats, yes - but that's it. Would be pretty easy IMHO to remove another 40-50 pounds by removing other unneeded stuff (headlight assemblies, dash, HVAC controls, etc.).

The car is 3,28x with me in it. I'm riding my bicycle. I am sure I have lost 2 pounds now, just 98 to go!

My feeling is it's got to be "some" - probably enough to matter some. With the wide variations in otherwise similarly prepared C5's, I can't think of too many other areas that could make a difference of 30+ pounds.

Took 94 lbs out of ours yesterday......don't have a new weight as we don't have scales at the house. Phoenix was nice enough to paint our interior when they did the cage too so it looks pretty nice. Need to rewire to clean it up some more (camera, radio, data etc) and am thinking about relocating the large (heavy) fire bottle out of the back to down in the passenger footwell area....lower that 20lbs anyway.......

Someone mentioned removing the headlights......I am all for it.....$1200 for a new replacement (1) is rediculous........our body guy is trying to piece together parts and some of them you can't get without ordering the whole assembly from GM. Seems every front contact wipes out at least one headlight. Its not just a lens assembly that is easily replaced.......taking them out would save lots of cash in case of contact.......

JMHO anyway.........

Sounds like you pulled out the same weight I did. Would love to see your pics and weights when you get it.

If you are looking for nice used headlight assemblys PM me for details. I hear ya on that though, we should be able to just have the covers on.

Aaron
