??? About C6 Stock Brake calipers / not Z06
I heard, read, found somewhere that the C6 stock calipers are stronger/stiffer than the C5 stock calipers.
Does anyone know if this is true?
Do you have a link to the info?

From what I have read its not the caliper that is stronger, its the area around where the caliper bolts to the spindle on a C6 that is stronger.
Im sure somebody else will chime in with a more accurate answer.

Now take a look side by side with a C5 and you will see that it hasn't. The only difference are the fins on the C5 calipers and the font. Other than that, thicknesses are the same.

I've been reading for some time on other forums about racers having the C6 caliper last longer then the C5 caliper. Here's a reference:

Mods, maybe merge these two threads on calipers.

Yea, the thickness is the same, but the ribbing structure across the top has been addressed to help reduce spreading. GM/PBR would not change the main caliper casting just to enlarge the CORVETTE script on the front
