C4 wheel bearing life
How long do you get out of your bearings front/rear. And are you spending the big bucks on the GM ones or going the after market route with the lifetime warranty?

If you're on the track any amount of time, I'd go with the good AC Delco bearings.
Let the flaming begin....

My rears are the SKF ones and have been on there for three years, 17K and just starting to show a tad bit of play. Fronts on the other hand are some cheapys from vatozone and were showing wear after two track events, one of them was a pretty light one as far as stress goes. Just curious how normal that was.

I get about 1 session from a timken front bearing. probabally 2 or 3 laps before it loosens up.
The rear SKF bearings held up about 3 years, maybe 4.

I'm currently designing some custom hubs for racing using real race bearings instead of those sealed ball bearings so you can rebuild them between rounds

God Speed Brian. A lot of us are anxiously awaiting your product development. I have tried the Advance Auto bearings on the front and have had zero success. Won't last more than one day on track. I am going back to GM bearings. As someone said, using aftermarket can be a false economy and the safety issue for you and others on track is worth the added expense.

Everything above concurs with my experience.
autozone Timken last 1 hot lap at most. In fact they don't last 1 trip to the gas station with R tires on.
SKF do last many years, certainly acceptable even if they do fail after many tough abusive years.
Nice to hear about federal mugal, I'll stay away too.
So now it seems to be SKF rears, and GM fronts......
too bad SKF doesn't make front bearings.
