Warranty ?
If you do HPDE events, seem like Chevrolet will not honor their warranty. Hard to to believe after the Corvette event at CMP.
It could be the GM engineer (?) that looked at my car. But I will have to go through arbitration to resolve the descrpencies to include: oil leak, front calipers, shifter, clutch and paint issues.
Just got done doing a technical paper on all this to send to BBB.
I NEVER had this problem with my BMW M3!
Also found out calling Chevrolet customer assitance is a waste of time.

Bill has a couple of minor mods that the engineer doesn't like. They are simple pieces (essential for many of us track gurus), but appearantly not warranty friendly.
Keep us updated on the progress.

I bring mine in for EVERYTHING...with no problems. Depends on the dealer...one may give you a hard time, just go to another. It sounds like your situation is more complex than this, but I do bring my car in for everything...and I mean anything. My dealer is basically a truck dealer and they don't know any better. I also keep my mouth shut.

Have been contacted by GM
I am in the process of arbratration throught GM. Was Contacted today by a GM Rep to come to a resolustion. My car may have been flaged by GM by the high levels of warranty work, wonder why?
Hopefully we can resovle everything in a reasonable manner.

Sucks, sorry to hear.
That's the thing that makes me most nervous about this. The dealer knows about my Wilwood calipers, and non-stock alignment, but now that I have the oil cooler and it takes 9QT I'm a little fearful of bringing it to them...
I've got an awesome service writer, but I could see them finding excuses with some fo this stuff.
I really want those LG headers too!
Keeping my fingers crossed that nothing major happens.

dealer won't care about exhaust, allignment, or brakes, but they WILL CARE about that oil cooler. My dealer told me install one of those, and all bets are off!
So, I would rather blow the engine and have them replace it, then install an oil cooler and void my warranty. They said they would rather replace the blown engine than me get an oil cooler...Crazy huh?

Why was the GM Engineer in the dealership looking at your car?
Just wondering if because of the long list of things to fix on your car($$) GM sent somebody to look for a way to get out of fixing it under warrenty.
Good luck with arbitration.

Unless they tried to say abuse was the cause of the failure.

I figured... like I said, fingers crossed.
I made a deal with myself a bit ago that I had to have enough maintained in the bank as self-insurance for this type of thing before doing major mods. Stick it in there and forget it. I don't want anything to happen, but just in case, the $ is already earmarked for that contingency...

Find a dealer that is affiliated with a Corvette Club in your area. Our club in Tulsa is affiliated with a dealership and they take care of us as well as any referrals. Get discounts on parts as well.

Not the dealers fault
I figured my car got flaged buy GM. I never had a problem before with warranty repairs, in why this car may have been flaged. If I take it to another dealer, the result will be the same, they got the VIN.
If I do blow the engine, the oil cooler is coming out anyways, because of the trash, will return to stock configuration before it goes to the dealer.
Hopefully, on Dec 6th we can come to a reasonable soulution to these issues. I don't think GM wants to go throught the whole BBB arbitration process. If so, I am well prepared.
Wish me luck!

No, sorry if that came out wrong, my intent was to state that few, if any car manufacturers and dealers are HPDE friendly unfortunately.
