Default CA: 2002 C5 Z06 Street/HPDE

2002 Chevrolet Corvette Z06

Garage kept 2002 Corvette Z06 black, with 72,000 mi. I bought this car with 50XXXmi 6 years ago from the original owner and has been the best, most reliable car I have ever owned. I bought it with the intention of having a fun weekend car, and occasional track day. Unfortunately, I only got to drive it on the track twice and have decided to part with it since I cannot drive her as often as I would like.

I have done all maintenance and modifications myself, with the exception of the tune and oil cooler install which were performed by CMS in Temecula. All oil changes were performed every 3 months regardless of mileage, and as stated before, I have never had any issues with the car. Only Mobil 1 has ever been used (5w30, 0w40, 10w30), and I have 3 sample reports from Blackstone labs with excellent results showing a strong engine.

The valve springs were replaced as a precaution. I have also performed the column lock bypass and climate control display fix.

Mods:
Engine/Cooling/Exhaust

• Blackwing intake
• Isky Valve Springs 165-A
• GM Performance Spark Plug Wires (NGK TR5)
• Magnetized Oil/Trans/Diff Drain Plug
• Saikou Michi Dual Oil Catch Can
• SLP 160 Thermostat
• Setrab 625 Engine Oil Cooler (Doug Rippie Kit)
• SLP Loud Mouth w/X pipe (Have stock TI exhaust)
• CAGS skip shift
• CMS Tune (383whp 357wtq)

Suspension/Brakes/Wheels:

• 18x10.5 Square setup C5Z rears w/ 315/30/18 Pirelli Pzero Rosso
• AP Racing Sprint Kit Front (4 pot) w/SS lines (Motul RBF600 Fluid)
• Two piece rotors
• DRM Bilstein Sport Shocks V.2 with bushings

Interior/Exterior:

• Cobra Suzuka GT (Driver and Passanger)
• Hardbar seat rails
• ATI Quick release w/Grant 3075 hub adapter
• Sparco 325 Steering wheel (Have stock wheel with airbag)
• Crow Corvette Rotary Kam Lock 6-Way Restraint Harnesses (Drv. & Pass.)
With 3’ Crow flame retardant harness pads
• Hardbar Harness bar
• Vetteworks Sub belt mount
• Vetteworks Fire extinguisher mount (ext. included)
• CCA Billet block pedals (3 pedals + dead pedal)
• Kenwood DX512 double din professionally installed with Bluetooth & mic
• Front Hinged removable tow hook
• Rear tow hook
• C5R Lip
• AC Side skirts
• Tint 35%

The Bad:

• Hood has dried water spots from previous owner, but rest of the car’s paint is excellent.
• Driver side window regulator has started failing intermittently.

The bank holds the title, serious inquiries only. The catalytic converters were not removed and passes smog with flying colors without any modifications.

$22,000
Thanks for looking!

Got any more pics of the brakes, under the hood, and maybe under the car and the suspension? Whats the tread on the tires like? Brakes pads still in good shape along with the rotors? Also how do the seats fit a larger guy? I am 6'4" and about 260 pounds.

The engine bay is very clean, and under the car looks new. Since I've owned it, I think I've driven it in the rain no more than once. I'll get some pictures.

Tires have a lot of thread left, and you can rotate them since it is a square set up.

Brakes pads still in good shape along with the rotors?

For street use yes, although very noisy. I have another set of both for track that I will include (pads/rotors)

Also how do the seats fit a larger guy? I am 6'4" and about 260 pounds.
Unfortunately no. I am 6' 190lbs and fit snug at 36 waist. A lot of ppl like the seats, so I am sure that you can find someone that will trade.

Thanks!

Just for another opinion, my buddy has these and I fit in them (snugly) at 5'11", 260. The hip bolsters are notably taller than sparco seats which is less forgiving for larger guys.

I really like how tall the sides are. Whenever I get another fun car, these will be the seats I'll go for

I have added engine bay and brake pics. Unfortunately it is pretty hard getting a pic under the car since my shoes barely fit under it You can trust me that underneath looks very clean. I did snap a very crappy picture of inside the fender for you. As you can see, pretty clean

We have twins!

(Except your car is really clean and pretty...)

I'm in Temecula all the time...look for one with blue stripes.

Good luck with your sale.

A "glass half full" person would see that as a great excuse for a 3000 mile road trip.

Besides, left coast doesn't make it the wrong coast.... ;-)

LOL, Rick, yes, let me correct. not the "wrong" coast, just not my coast.

I agree, good reason for a road trip. not opposed to long distance buy. bought an R8 from Seattle and a Grandturismo from Dallas in '15, but the numbers made sense. They were high dollar cars so enough of a discount was available to cover due diligence and transport. in this case, the needed discount would likely be disagreeable to the seller.
