2008-2009 GT2 Corvette Chassis 001 of 001 built
We are getting ready to remove our GT2 Lemans Corvette from the National Corvette museum in the coming weeks.
We would like to see it get a new home, so we are going to sell it.
This car is the only one built by Riley Technologies and it is the only one in existence. IT is also the only Corvette to ever out qualify the factory Corvette team. We did that at Petit Lemans 2009.
Give us a call at LG Motorsports 972-429-1963 and they will connect you to me, if you are interested.
Thanks
Lou Gigliotti

Beautiful car...I guess this falls in the category of "If you have to ask how much...you can't afford it".
Best of luck with the sale. This is a great opportunity for someone to own a piece of Corvette Racing history.

Depends on the spares package you would want with the car. Being that it was an endurance car we had a ton of wheels for it, spare suspension parts, spare engines...

Hi Guys,
Original cost with no spares was $525,000.
The question is this: Is it worth more or less than that because it was the first GT2 car in the American Lemans--It was faster and out qualified the Factory Corvettes at the 2009 Petit Lemans race.
It is Chassis #001 and there is no #2 in the world.
So I am taking any reasonable offer that won't make me hit the floor. I would prefer to hit the ceiling but anywhere in between will be considered.
Gang, If I keep it to pass on to my Son, it will be worth more in dollars because the dollar will not buy a candy bar in 20 years. The only hedge against the crash of the dollar is Hard Assets. This happens to be a "Fun Asset" and it can even ride you around the race track and kick you right in the "Asset" as well
Either way, I scraped up the money in 2008 to buy this car. I even sold a 1930 V16 Cadillac limo that I owned, to help raise the money to buy this.
So, if any of you has the cash to afford this fully rebuilt GT2 Car, it will be a great addition to your collection.
Here is the rebuild video just before we took it to Petit Lemans in 2009 and embarrassed the Factory Team by out qualifying them. They never congratulated us even if they didn't mean it. (and we did it on Dunlop Tires)
<< This was just a shake down run at a track day with dozens of cars on track to make sure everything worked
Here is Qualifying at the last race we ran with this car before it went into the National Corvette Museum .
