AMT/ERTL 283 Small Block 1/6 Scale, WOW !!!
In the past, I have built the Revell 1/6 scale corvette engines, but when I picked up this one of the 57 fuelie from AMT/ERTL, I was quite surprised when I looked at the instructions and parts. I could not believe that it included all kinds of internal parts such as pistons, rods and cranks as well as rockers, springs, valves and cam, WOW.
Has anyone put one of these together and what is the final look of this thing, do these things actually move? To me, it seems like a lot of work, for so much, that you don't even see. Anyway, I am going to build this one over the winter and will post my findings and results then.
Just thought I would ask if anyone has done one of these, that they might share some comments or findings they had while doing one.

I built one of those back in the 80's when they were first issued, pretty neat kit. The size allows you to detail them as much as you want. It's been so long that I don't recall all the details, but it was a cool display piece.
