franklin mint corvettes
i have 8 franklin mint corvettes in 1:24 scale, for sale 60.00 each including shipping. all are in original boxes with all original paperwork. the list includes:
1954........red
1955........blue
1956........teal
1957........red
1960's......mako shark
1984........blue (2 tone)
1998........sebring silver conv.
1999........blue hard top
on the sebring silver convert, the driver's door outside mirror is missing (this i never noticed until i inspected these cars prior to listing them for sale) and was told by the f.m. that since i purchased this model quite some time ago they could not make any adjustments for it. therefore, i will let this one go for 45.00. contact me @ chriskimco1@verizon.net If anyone is interested. thanks for takling the time and reading.

Over the years, I've picked up a few Corvette die-casts. What I'm wondering is what the value is of some of my models.
I have, for example, three 1/18-scale C5 Corvettes by Action. I have the #2 black/silver "Goodwrench" car from, I think '99. I halve the #4 2000 yellow and white car from '00 and, I have an example of the original issue of the Earnhardt #3 car from 2001. The last being the "clean version" and not the later release whch had a weathered "as raced" paint job.
All are in mint condition and I still have original packaging. But they have been displayed. In dust free cases in a room not exposed to sunlight or tobacco smoke. They are all perfect.
I am running out of room and need to sell off some of my collection (which, also includes a lot of Porsches, vintage dragsters and funny cars, and large-scale airplane desk models.
Just thought, since this was a forum, see if any of you know if these things are worth anything and, if so, what I should ask for them if I do decide to sell them on, say, E-Bay.
Thanks

i have had several inquiries about the models so i want to clarify here. if you purchase all 6 then the price is 300.00 if you want an individual model, then the price is still 60.00/per model. now, if i sell a model individually, the asking price for what ever remains in the "package" deal will be reduced accordingly. thanks to all who have inquired.

I'll tell ya, the best FM Vettes are the ones made in FG.I've got a red 70 vert with both tops and I've got a Green one I think comming. They blow away the die cast.DM are better than FM. If any of you have a FM and a DM 63 coupe put them side by side and you see what I mean

mike,
i agree 100% the dandury cars are so much nicer! i decided to sell these diecast as i took my entire collection amd made a 50th year tribute collection of only 15 cars. decided to sell the overage and hopefully the prices i am asking are reasonable enough to move them. yes the franklin fiberglass corvettes have it all over the metal diecasts, and the danbury blow both away! anyway, i must be doing something right as i only have 4 cars left of my original overage. here's a little trivia for you all, when the franklin mint first came out with the "corvette collection" it was only supposed to have 6 cars:
1953,1956,1963,1968, 1984 and a "corvette of the future" which never materialized these debuted in 1985 and the collection just grew from there, the quality of the first '53 compared to my latest 2003 is night and day! anyway, i agree with your assessment concerning these models still, they are nice.

okay, the 1998 and 1999 are also now sold! all i have l;eft that i am willing to sell is one 1955 V-8 blue and one 2 tone blue 1984 coupe which was part of the "original" six. no reasonable offer refused!! point of interest:
1955 comes in franklin mint shipping box with brochure and certificate of authenticity but is missing axle tag, it's around here somewhere i just need to find it.
the '84 has everything the mint sent me.

Some trivia above - the early version is on the right and the later version is on the left.
