My second love is classic Chevy pickup trucks so a good part of my die-cast collection is made up of models like this one. It was a stock '55 Chevy stepside that I modded. I did the interior in Grey and Blue with an aftermarket billet "flame" steering wheel. The drive train (heart) is a Fuel Injected 283 engine and 4 speed transmission from a '57 Corvette. The block was painted Silver with Black finned valve covers. The stock painted steel wheels and drum brakes were replaced with 18" American Racing style mags and disc brakes with drilled rotors at all four corners. The wood bed floor has Chrome bed strips and a full 2.5" dual exhaust system with polished tips was added underneath. It's just a little something different that I thought you might enjoy seeing. Let me know what you think. Thanks for looking.

Looks great. Brings back memories of high school when I drove a '56 Step Side everywhere. Blew the I-6 so my dad let me replace it with a 283. Ran great and had tons of fun. Again, that is a really nice pickup. Keep up the good work.

Man You do some nice work
Brings back some memories for me as well, I had a couple of those P/Us, well not like that 1 exactly , had a '57 with the 282 with a three on the tree, loved that truck, then I had a '55 that never ever lasted too long :o
Thanks for Sharin'

THanks for the kind words. The model is an ERTL 1:18 scale die-cast pickup. Attached are a few more pics of it showing other details. Thanks for looking.
