IPOD-ing my '92...without FM Modulator/Casette Adapter?
I've heard a lot of conversation about using the Apple iTrip FM modulator or a standard Casette adapter to listen to my iPod through my factory BOSE Gold w/ CD Player. My '92 does not come with a preinstalled wire to the trunk (allowing for an AUX input connection with the iPod/CD Changer/etc).
My Question: With no AUX connection and no compatibility for a CD Changer-like connection to the head unit, is there still an AUX-like connection that I can take advantage of in the head unit? If not, can I disconnect the cd player in the head unit and use that open input connection to connect my iPod to? Basically i'm looking for a hard-wired input so I can play my tunes over a wire instead of an air signal...
I was under the impression that the vette was timeless! Its getting tougher and tougher to stay technologically current in a dated car...so I'm hoping someone can help me out. Thanks!
