It just pulls out of the back of the stock HU. Its in there pretty snugly, so you may have to use some force.

Just pulled the plug out. Wow that was hard. Oh the SHAME!!!

Funny thing is I was talking to a co-worker about the type of guys who can design an elaborate piece of electronic equipment but can't turn a screwdriver. Ironic?
