Default Problems with water in the back of Z06?

I was looking at installing a sub in the back of a friends z06, and when mentioning the rear storage space he brought up the problem of water leaking on it after rain. Has anyone had real problems with this AFTER the install?

If you have water leakage sub or no sub that is not good. I would check out that problem first.

OK...run off water from the trunk lid. Gotcha...you should not have problems with the enclosure just from that. MDF can get wet like that with no problems. If you were really conserned you could make the box out of birch plywood. No problems with water there and it makes excellent enclosures.

mdf swells when it gets wet, but if it has carpet or a sealer, shouldn't be a problem

a little bit does drip in at the rear seal when you lift the lid up.. its far enough back that if you had a sub in the big hole it wont hit it.
