Where are you mounting tweeters

Where are you guys mounting your tweeters?

There is a member over on our Z06 section claiming that a good location for a tweeter is low on the kick panel near the floor.

I said the tweeter should go high so it is closer to ear level. He said "If you have ever heard a properly set up stereo, you would not be making comments like this. Tweeters "near the floor" have been working very well for pro audio competitors for well more than a decade now."

What your friend is telling you is true. If the tweeter sound is coming from the same location as the rest of your sound you will have a better "image." A lot of it depends on what you like. If your tweets are higher up and closer to your ear you are drastically reducing your sound quality.

With that said I plan on putting mine in the doors because I love a bright tweeter about as much as I like a cold beer!

Do what sounds the best to you and you'll be happy.

Tweeter should be as close to on axis as possible with the woofer. I've mounted mine on a bridge across the speaker in my doors. Mount it as near to the woofer as possible. If you mount it high in the door it wont image properly.

I do not see how a tweeter will sound good when it is being partially blocked by the passenger's legs. I think that the sail panel is a better spot and that would not be far from the mid.

I have a C4, but mine are at the top of my a-pillar, they are some tweeters that were bought after the kick panel speakers because I wanted more trebile, and I think they sound great up there close to my head. The 2 that I just installed make 6 total
