Default XM Antenna

Where's the best spot to install an XM antenna in a C5? I have a Roady mounted on a Low Boy bracket in the cup holder on the console., with the power and audio out wires going behind the flip-up lid on the ash tray. I hear people talk about behind a tail light, but others say that dosen't give you a strong signal.

I've installed a Sirius antenna under the fiberglass on my C3. I used sheet metal, about 1'X1' square, to mount it to. The antenna will recieve better if mounted on metal. I've yet to get it out of the city and away from the repeaters, but it works great so far. The farther away from big cities you are, the more exposed the antenna needs to be.

I ran my antenae wire through the console and put it in the waterfall. The magnet sticks really strong to the metal support inside the waterfall. Reception seems good.

I installed the micro antenna under the defrost vent cover on the dash. Good reception there and you cannot see it from outside the car.
