Well, I am 99% done with my new audio system. The one thing left is a cover for the rear compartment where my sub is. I was looking at perfing the stock cover, but the carpet is rubber backed, so that would be pointless.
Has anyone found a source for unbacked carpet that matches the GM factory black in a C5? It is more of a dark charcoal than a black which makes finding a match pretty tough.
What have the rest of you done for covers for your subs in that location?
I found some carpet at a shop here in Knoxville that matched pretty well. If I don't screw up this install I'll send you what I have left over.
I bought an 80inch by 1 yard piece. I should need but half of that unless I screw up. I only paid 10.50 for all of it so it's not very expensive. It's fuzzy and pretty damn close to factory. It was the best I could find in my city. I went to every shop and every carpet store in the area.
I'll be finishing my install with the Peach State Possee on the 26th and I'm sure we'll post pics...
