Default STEREO QUESTIONS

I am certain that this question has been asked a few dozen times or more, but I am just trying to learn more about my vette.
I am interested in upgrading the deck, however, the BOSE speakers seem to be a problem at doing this. I am fond of the speakers and really don't want to have to change them out. They are a quality sound for me, and I don't need much more than what they provide. THe reason for the deck upgrade is...I want to download and make my own CDs and was curious if anyone knows what I should do. Be serious guys, I don't want to take much from my performance mods, but a nice deck with some quality that plays CD-R and MP3 would be awesome if it is compatiable with the stock speakers?

Thanks,

Micah

You can burn cds to play in the stock deck, just not MP3 cds.

I burn stuff for my dad all the time and I've never had a disc that didn't work. If you want to be able to use an mp3 player, I think there is an adapter you can get to jack into the cd-changer input on the deck.

I have listened to burned CDs on my stock Bose system and that was back in a 99 coupe.

I put in a 10 disc Sony X-Plod Changer. Works fine with the stock system and plays MP-3s with great results. Only about $225.00.

When I get the vette out of the body shop (someone ran a stop sign on me) I will try a CD I burned.

Thanks

the Sony X-Plod Changer is a great little machine. Sadly, it doesn't have L/R outs so you are forced to use an RF connection (unless Sony has updated it in the past 6 months??? )
