I just got both rear speaker amps re-worked by Dr. Dons. The LH side works great, however I still have no sound on the RH side. I swapped the amps and had the same result, so I know both amps are ok. Then I swapped sides with the speakers. The LH speaker works on the RH side, but the RH speaker won't work on the LH side. So all signs point to the RH speaker. Is there anything else (except the speaker itself) that could be wrong? The wiring to the speaker is ok because the "good" speaker works on the "bad" side. Do I need to just replace the speaker? Let me know if anyone else has noticed this.
I'm not offering a solution to your problem, you probably addressed the situation anyways. I just have a similar problem. I also have a 92 coupe, Delco Bose Gold Series and the right rear speaker does not work. I just put the carpet and panel back on, but i didnt check the shunt wires though. I just wanted to know if you found a solution. I was reading in an Ecklers catalog that these type of radios and speakers can be repaired. My CD player doesnt work, nor does the CRO2 button. I recently purchased the car, and it appears that an aftermarket stereo had been installed, then removed and the factory equipment was reinstalled for the sale. Not helping you much, just singing the cruddy stereo blues....
