I used to love getting cars out of storage when I lived in Buffalo, NY. Its like driving it for the first time.

Anyhow, I'm suprised you are having reception issues. Looks like you are running a Pioneer HU? The supertuner III FM they have is awesome.

I have no trouble with my FM reception on my Alpine, even though I hardly ever listen to FM. Perhaps you have too much interference with all the amps and wiring you have in the car, or the antenna is not plugged in or grounded securely.

I tried out an FM signal booster once upon a time, it was crap.

I really don't have a problem so to speak, I've just read here in the Audio Forum that some have and were trying different ways to get better reception.
If I can improve mine, all the better.

I tried to call Delphi's OEM division today, and maybe get lucky and reach someone who knows what they're talking about and is willing to help. However they put me on hold forever and I had other things to do.

Dont give up hope though, Im going to try my best to see if . I dont like the in the glass antenna scheme at all, I might buy a power antenna + hardware for a newer vert/FRC and punch a hole in the right rear fender.

My FM reception is definitely poorer and my AM reception is practically nil after installing an Alpine HU...

I would not mind running a power wire to the Dephi antenna switch, or installing a hidden antenna if someone can help us figure out a solution; drilling and installing an external antenna is out...

good news is, I have plenty of MP3s to keep me busy...
