Default Replacing the Bose System in my '96

Howdy
I am starting the process of replacing the Bose System in my '96 coupe. After having an Alpine system in my truck for several years that is the head unit I am going with. (7897). I also have MB Quart components in the truck and love the sound I get from them.
My first question is what adaptor do I need and where can I find it for mounting the head unit?
Second, has anyone mounted speakers to the stock mounting brackets? What size did you find that fit? Does anyone know what size the non-Bose stock speakers are/were for a '96?
Third, has anyone mounted a sub-woofer in to either of the storage compartments behind the seats?

On my 94 the fornts could take a 4x6 plate or 5.25 (tight fit). They are located in the footwell area.
The rears I think you can fit 6" in the stock blose case or 6x9 if you make a mounting plate.
I forget the brand name of the HU install kit off hand. I did a search on this site when I was looking and found it.

Hope this helps a little
