is this power wire sufficient?

I am installing my system which will have 1 amp. It is a Hifonics Zeus ZX4400. It is a 55 watt X 4 amp. I am going to be running 2 channels to my front speakers at 55 watts each and then bridge the other 2 channels to my sub at 220 watts. I have a single amp wiring kit that contains 8 guage wire and a 40 amp fuse. Is this wire and fuse ok to use with this amp. The Hifonics has 4 guage power connectors, but I figure it will take 8 guage as well. I already got the 8 guage run through the firewall and would hate to have to try and squeeze 4 guage through there. I wont be adding anymore amps in the future either. Thanks for any advice.

I've ran more than that off 8 with no problem.

more is always better but you should be fine with the 8-guage. Make sure you get a good ground.

8 gauge can carry 65A for over 20 feet. You are well under that so you should be fine.
