Crutchfield tells me they no longer carry it even though it's in their new catolog. Couple of internet stores no longer have it and none coming in. I've always sort of liked this unit.
Can anyone confirm if it's being discontinued?? I'm reluctant to buy if there's a mechanical reason (the motorized Fantom Face) for it being yanked.

I purchased mine at Tweeter and was told that the 7998 and love it! The saleperson there told me that the the model below the 7998 was being discontinued. It doesn't have the bio lite display like the 7998, and just wasn't selling as well as the 7998. At least that is what they told me.
