cabin resonance in the C5

Can anyone help with this problem? Recently installed dynamat in my C5 coupe in the rear area, everywhere. Then covered that with a 1/8 adhesive foam that is foil backed. I was trying to eliminate a specific ehaust resonance between 1400 and 1800, instead the resonance has gotten WORSE after doing the above. What did I do wrong???? :confused: :confused:

What exhaust do you have? Some systems can't be silenced with sound deadeners.

I've had that problem in my C4 with Borla exhaust. I tried sound deading stuff. It lowers to overall tone, but I've found it can't do anything for the resonance issue. You just have to get use to it or figure out what is causing it. Some systems are just worse then others. Best tip I've heard it trying to get the exhaust tips as far away from the bumper as possible.
