Default Battery is dead for sure, but I wonder what is killing it...

Charge battery overnight,
starts great in the morning. Starts OK at lunch. Starts OK night.

Well, my headlight pod freaked out so i had ot work on it with the headlight on. FOR NO MORE THAN 5 MINUTES ON TIME... the battery was *COMPLETELY DEAD* after that.

so obviously this battery is toast... but what is killing the battery in the car, I wonder? Hmn...

No interior lights or accessories still run after its shut off.

hmnnnn.

Go to your nearest Autozone or Advance Auto and have them check battery, alt, and current draw. They do it for FREE :hurray:

When I bought my white Talon TsiAWD it came with an Autozone battery. Damn thing died a week later. I took it to Autozone and they comfirmed a bad cell and it was only a few months old. But the bastards would not honor their warrenty since I was not the the original owner of the battery. Needless to say I did not buy another one, I now have a Optima in her and since she is in storage next to the vette it has a Battery Tender on her too.

If I was you, I'd try to get the cost of the bad Autozone battery applied to a Optima, it is worth a try. Good luck
