Default Headunit comparison, Alpine 9827 vs Pioneer 8500 vs Alpine 9815

I can't decide upon these 3 decks. Are there any issues i should be aware about? I hear that the Alpine 9807 has problems with bass handling, otherwise i would be getting that because i mostly listen to rap.

I don't think you can go wrong with any of those three. I'm a Pioneer fan though

I'd go with the Alpine 9815 if I were choosing between those 3.

I also agree.

I have a 9815 in my Explorer and love it....too many features to list. Doesn't heat up, no problems and had it over a year.

Now that i think about it, the 9815 is too pricey for me, especially after i convert to canadian funds. the 9811 is just right at $251 us shipped, which is only $40 more than the 9807, however if i go up to a 9813 there is a $112 canadian($84 us) difference and i cant spend that much more just for the the deck. So is there anything wrong with the 9811 or is there something else that i should consider instead? I like the adjustability of the 9811 and the also the MP3 feature even though it doesnt have the vdrive amp.

I have the 9813, couldn't see spending the extra $$ on the 9815 that is identical except for the display. I like the v-drive and bass engine pro on the 9813. I wouldn't recommend getting anything lower level than the 9813. I've seen them for $300 shipped on carstereoexpo.com. They are in low stock though. Are you going to run speakers from the HU, or add an amp, or run components?

I am going to use the deck to run the speakers (2 4x6 infinity 6042cfp's and 2 6x9 pioneers) and an amplifier to run my subs.

Make sense to me. That is the way I run my truck system. It even has 4X6s and 6X9s too
I also have the JBL 1200.1 but using it for 4 JL Audio 15"s

I'd go with the 9813, plenty of power to run coaxial speakers and loaded with features.
