I remember when I first got into Car Audio, and my coworker was telling me his system was 700 watt.. I thought that was plain insane. The first time I had an ampilfied system, it was less than 300 watts total. Now I'm running 1240+ watts, and can't ever see myself running less.
How much RMS power are you running?
PS - Cory00, Pyramid watts only count if you divide them by ten.

you're at 760 watts, Kale asked about RMS, not peak numbers
Your right, my mistake.
Guess I'll blame it "ignorance" on working midnights this weekend. (12hr. shifts)
I think the actual factory tested peak amps on the "birth" sheet was somewhere around 630 amps each.
Thanks for correcting me.

That's our biggest complaint against RF, they advertise these huge numbers, then when you actually see the RMS it's like 1/3 of what RF is telling you...

The seem to be playing the advertising game with the lower priced "Punch" series amps that you see in the electronics chains like Best Buy & Circuit City. They are not doing that with the higher priced "Power" series and those amps look pretty good to me.
Re: How much power are you running right now? (Kale)
No spot on the poll for mine, I'm only at 250 right now...
I do have an extra 900 watts sitting in the garage, but don't have any subs or a box to go with it... or the capacitor to keep it from killing my battery...
Orion XTR5004 is currently in the car, runs 62.5 watts into 4 channels to power my front and rear speakers. Orion XTR9002 is sitting in the garage on a shelf, puts out 225 watts into 2 channels or bridges down to 900 watts into a single channel.
