Helix, Brax, USAmps, Diamond Audio D7, Audison, Linear Power, Soundstream, Avionixx, and Eclipse come to mind. Most of these are great for SQ but lack in the value department, as they are very expensive.
Im not a fan of Xtants new gear. I loved the stuff they put out before they were bought by MTX. PPI's older gear used to be high-end gear but I dont hear much from them anymore. My favorite amps are the Diamond D7 series but I cant justify spending so much on them. I like my Soundstream Tarantulas, though. :D
I have an MTX Thunder 4250D in my vette (partially because I got it on sale for $125.) and it's perfect. It's MIRROR shiny (which isn't important but it looks DAMN COOL!) It seems to work perfectly though. The only thing I wished they woulda done, is put values on the knobs, so when you turn it, you know how much or little you're tuning it...

PPI is still around and are still good as ever. I have two PPI amps from 1991 and they are still going strong. JBL new amps, can't be beat for the $, man you can get those cheap, I paid $245 for my last BP1200.1 and that included shipping :smash: :hurray: I have US Amps too, rated at 12.5 watts into 4 ohms, the amp size is 10X26", 1/4 ohm stable :thumbs: I've also owned Jensen :U , US Acoustics (was very reliable til I bridged it), and lots of Alphasonic (spelling?) they kicked for the $ too.
knew you hit the nail on the head. There is so much quality equipment available it is really a matter of personal taste and dollars.
And by the way Pyramid Gold works very well when used properly.......like when you use it for a projectile in a tossing contest or to anchor your John boat when you are flats fishing. :D
