I want want to relocate the disc changer to the right (passenger side) under- floor box of my '04 C5 as mentioned has been done by forum members. My installer says the cd wire harness only allows 3-4 inches of slack so it can't be done. In addition. he mentions the possiblity of "noise" if an adapter is added to the system. Can you help??

I just did the same thing on my '02 since I wanted to put a subwoofer in the center compartment . I had to cut the tape holding the harness to get some slack, and then re-tape it after re-routing the harness but it worked out fine. Mounting the player in the other compartment was a PITA but it works perfectlly.
Another place to consider is the back wall. I relocated my cd player there because I was tired of moving the LLoyd Mat and the compartment door each time I wanted to change the magazine.
