"SYS" warning light after aftermarket HU install
A few months ago, someone mentioned that on aftermarket HU installs the shop often forgets to take care of the dash light dimmer line, causing a SYS warning light? Well, now it has happened to me, I believe. Any further details? What specifically should I tell the install shop when I go back? Can the line be reattached to the new HU? Thanks in advance

This is a copy of Marco Polo's previous post:
1. Buy (2) 1 kilo-ohm 1/2 Watt resistors.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the receiver.
4. Connect one end of both resistors to ignition power. (Yellow wire in the car.)
5. Connect the other end of one resistor to the purple/white wire in the car.
6. Connect the other end of the second resistor to the grey/black wire in the car.
7. Cover all connections and completely cover the resistors.
8. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
No more SYS error!

The SYS happens in cars that have manual air. If you have manual air and a sys light, then follow the above procedure. If you have Electronic air, then it's probably something else.
