2003 ZO6. Do any of the computer functions run through the head unit?

I didn't realize that GM vehicles after 2000 had fuctions like Onstar, airbags, etc...run through the head unit. Is the Vette the same? Do I need to use a bypass harness? This is a new one to me. :confused: :chevy :confused: :chevy

My folks have a 99 Monte Carlo and you adjust things like the alarm settings and oil change interval stuff through the HU. These functions are done via the DIC on the C5s. You won't lose any functionality by swapping the HU.

:iagree: I no longer have the factory radio and I didn't lose a thing except for the bad sound :rofl: :lolg: :rofl:

Can't forget that the memory settings for the stereo also go away...one thing about the stock stereo that helps that married life!

Actually, they some how multiplied :) now I have 24 presets. :lolg:
Does that mean I can have four wifes :hurray: :rofl: :lolg: :rofl:
