Looking for a 7" or 8" screen for dash-not motorized

I'm looking to do a custom fiberglass dash for the C5 with a 7 or 8" screen in it. I was looking at the KENWOOD 8"touch screen, I was looking at a 7" SAVV, I was looking at a 7" XENARC. I want at least a 7", but don't want to spend tons of $$, but I don't want to do all that work for a poopiety picture. Any imput on the best screens, the most value for your money screens and some of the cheap poopie to stay away from I would appreciate a list of all 3 groups.

PS-- anyone else in the Annapolis/MD area who is interested in trying this project with me at the same time, i'm pretty good with fiberglass, made a lot of stereo's for C5's for the rear well and can break the c5 down to frame and have it wired for power and signal in about 20 minutes, give me a call or email or IM. THe more people we can get buying this at once, the cheaper we might be able to get it.

Take your time and it will look great when complete... This set up took me about 13 hours, helps that I have all the right tools :)

I love the console mod you have. Been looking for a way to do that kind of setup with a DVD Navigation/MP3 player. How much would it cost for you to make another console like that for me? What DVD navigation / DVD player would you recommend for such a setup? I figure as long as the head unit has aux inputs, you could use them to attach a hard drive based mp3 player like phatbox or Neo 35. Your thoughts?

The company is in Hong Kong, but they delivered fast. Got the screen within a week.

I wanted one with VGA input and touch capabilities. This one also has RCA input.

I have tried it out and it seems to work well, no problems yet. I will do the install over the Christmas holidays.

Resolution is 800x480.

This touch screen required a computer to make it work.

I don't have Noel's skills (wish I did!) ... but here's what the Kenwood touch screen looks like installed by an amatuer ... (I had to tweak it a bit to get it to fit with everything else though ... so much for the warranty! :D )
