Thinking about installing my 6 month Kenwood headunit that i had in my 95 vette... Just debating on how single din head unit would look... What car kits are you guys using if any... I would like to keep it as flush as possible...
Re: Please post pics of your head units....Thanks (Monster231)
Thanks for your interest.
Smoke in a vette :nono: so it was a perfect place to hide some goodies. The ash tray door is still there and functional (and of coarse now in blue) .
The one switch is to turn on the interior lighting, blue neon in back and blue LEDs up front. The other switch is for the red, white and blue police strobes on the outside of the car. The white is up front behind the clear plastic, blue in the side vents (hidden well) and the red is in the taillights. The strobes are maining for visual awareness if the alarm goes off since they are tied in with the alarm triggers. Both switch features are also cotroled by the alarm remote.
The knob is a level control for the sub amp.
Everything to the right half is a custom display and buttons to control the 6-disk changer. The 12-disk is directely controled by the head unit. The 6-disk cost me a lot to get installed like that but since I have the same 6-disk players in the house and other cars, it was worth it to me. (same as: uses the same magazine)

This is my 1991 coupe. the headunit is an Alpine DVA-7996. The TV is a 6.5" LCD. The Headunit plays CD's, DVD's, MP3's and VCD's. It's amazing what a little fiberglass can do
