Nope. Low level signal is sent from the HU to the BSP. The BSP "conditions the signals, and splits them into two groups. One goes back to the HU and is powered by the internal amp in the HU. The other group goes straight to the 8" subs/power amps in the doors as a low level signal. Only the twiddlers and the rears can take speaker level inputs, unless you bypass the amps mated to 8" woofers in the doors. Don't ask how I know, it was a long evening....
