Default 1996 Double Din?

I am looking to copy one of the other members and put a CD Changer and CD head unit in my car, and I need to know if the opening is double DIN in the 1996. It looks like it is, but I did a little photoshop magic, and the two don't look like they would fit without cutting.

I don't think it is, Blue. I think it's not a standard DIN, 2DIN or 1 1/2 DIN

Go over to a website that sells the "Direct-fit" Pioneer DEH-something units that are GM and Chrysler specific, and see what the faceplate dimensions are.

I'm almost positive that it is a 1 1/2 DIN opening, so you probobly wouldn't be able to fit a changer and a cd player in the normal opening. You could always get the adapter that has a cd holder underneath the single DIN opening and mount the changer somewhere else. Or it might be possible to make the opening a little larger but I am not sure if it is possible, I haven't worked on a newer C4 before. It is possible to do it on pre-90 vettes.
