Would anyone let BestBuy do a stereo installation??
Hello, I want to get rid of the Bose system that keeps blowing amps. I want to spend about $800 for a system. I looked at the Pioneer DEH-P6500 Head Unit at Bestbuy today and asked them if they ever do Corvette Installs. The guy I talked to says they have and walked me through what they have to do as far as speaker enclosures and wiring and whatnot. He seemed to know what he was talking about. They said parts and labor for the installation of the head unit and speaker would be about $215. They say all work is warranteed and they would even take the system out and put the factory one back in for free if I decided to sell the car. Any suggestions would be appreciated and info on decent head unit/speaker combos would be great.

tough question, I guess if I met the guy and could look at his previous work I would consider it. As long as it's not some kid with a summer job just hacking and splicing.

That's pretty much all it is. They messed up my ex's car, and it was just an HU install

Whenever possible, I always choose myself over anybody else. The fact that it is Buybuy doesn't mean it will be a poor installation. What matters is the person doing the install. If you feel confident that you will be taken care of, go for it. IMO

Best Buy is where I learned how to install!!!!! They have good and bad installers everywhere. I think the best idea is to ask others in the area about a particular installers work. I would NOT take the installers word or even pictures of installs "they" did.
