Default Oppinion on JL w0 subs

Im thinking about getting 2 10" w0's. Does anybody have anything to say about these? There on sale right now for $147cdn($100US) each. Or should i just buy the Clarion 10s for $88 cdn($60US)?

It really depends on what you want...

If you just want an extra little bump I would get the W0's.

Other options would be looking into the old style W3's or W6's. These older versions (compaired to the newer more powerful (as in can handle more power) W3v2's and W6v2's) are pretty cheap because they are trying to get rid of them, and pack alot of punch. The W3's are known more for SPL while the W6's are made more for sound quality.

Again, the W3's and W6's handle more power than the W0...so if you just want a extra little bump go for the W0 (and I would choose JL over the other brand...I love them).

It's a great "entry" level sub (JL10W0). Will stand up to a heckof a lot of abuse and very durable.

They are good subs, especially for the money. They have a clean sound, don't need a massive box, and can handle a good amount of power.

JL is one of the few "mainstream" brands that hasn't caved into the hype with flashy crap and huge excursion subs. They didn't develop a high excursion sub until they were able to do it right (i.e. the W7).

What's great about the JL subs is that they have a fairly high sensitivity. They can get as loud as a lot of the high excursion subs, and they require less power to do it.

The W0 is one of the subs that I'm giving some thought to for my Vette, although I think I'm going to lean toward something that requires a smaller enclosure.
