Digital multimedia receiver for 2012 Corvette with Bose Premium Sound Sys.
Hello,
I’m looking for recommendations for an upgrade to my stock Premium Bose system in our 2012 Corvette hatchback. It must have Apple CarPlay (not sure if wired or wireless is better although I’d prefer no wires) and also be capable of playing an iPod through the USB port in the center console which is my current setup. Must have steering wheel controls as well. Front and rear camera inputs are a must. Pioneer or Kenwood are my preferences.
Thanks….Dan - So Cal

There's a few other things you'll need for the install, first of all is an interface, the most commonly used one is the PAC RP5-GM11 https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541RP5...a51cb1291380ef This is needed to interface between the cars canbus system and the new head unit. Then you'll also need a dash kit https://www.crutchfield.com/p_120953...k.html?tp=3121 Then if you also want XM radio, you'll also need this tuner. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_220SXV...0V1-Tuner.html as the stock tuner can't be reused, it comes with an antenna however with the use of some adapters the stock satellite radio antennas can be reused, let me know and I'll send you a link to a thread on this. Plus there's some other tips on the install I can offer if you're going with a navigation system, just let me know.

Do you want/need to be able to play DVD/CDs or do USB/Bluetooth/smart phone media sources provide the entertainment you usually/always use?
Do you want a built-in GPS/Navigation system or do you prefer using Google Maps/Waze from your phone?
Beyond the information you have already provided, answering those two questions will narrow down the options for the best system for you.
