Default Question on back up Camera

Installing a pioneer 2660nex with th rp5 gm11 harness and a back up camera

let me know if I am doing this correct
I connected purple white wire from hu to the purple white wire from the rp5 gn11

I will run The power and ground wires for the camera with the video RCA up to the hu and splice them in between the harness and the HU, then the video rca plugs in to the back of hu and not use the 3inch whip of wire that is attached to the video RCA

this should make it to where I can view the camera in motion correct??

I personally don't have that camera myself, but I believe you want to tie the trigger wire into the Purple/White wires also.
