I'm starting to look into replacing my factory Bose w/CD changer system and have been looking at components, setup, speakers, etc. I see that JL has a good 10" sub woofer stealth box setup for around $500 for the center storage compartment of a C5 vette. Mine is a 2001 convertible. I was curious why no one seems to make a set up for the 2 side storage bins that are a bit small for much use. Any one know of such a set up.

The JL Audio website has a great photo of the stealth box fitted with a subwoofer but you will have to call around to find a dealer who can sell you one. JL website does not sell direct, only thru authorized dealers. Most of the dealers I have spoken to want to special order the unit and it takes about 1-2 weeks. You also have to pay in advance. I have found that Tweeters here in Houston can get me one.

Myself, I'm in the process of doing just this for my 2 JL10W3D2'S. There are a few others who have already done this, most with JL10W1's are pleased with the results. It's a time and effort approach.
