Anyone using a radar jammer? Do they work? What model(s)/price information? I have a Valentine One and was considering adding a jamming device. Will I be INVINCABLE????? (ha,ha,ha.........)

Radar jammers DON'T WORK. They might fuzz a reading every once in a while at extremely close range, but....

#1 - DSP chips stamp all the radar packets. Each signal is encoded, so unless your jammer is broadcasting enough energy to saturate the receiver (requires kilowatts at anything over 10 yards) the radar gun will punch right through your jamming.

#2 - All police radars these days have jammer detectors in them, and if jammers aren't outright illegal in your state, they still piss off the cops somethin' awful.

#3 - Most likely your valentine one won't work in close proximity to a jammer. The jammer puts out radar signals. The V1 detects radar signals. I see a problem...

:iagree:

They are a way to separate you from your hard earned money. Get a Valentine and be done with it.

:iagree: You would have to have a major pair of alternators in your car to put out some wattage to kill the incoming signal strength. V1 and a scanner are the best bets.

:iagree: I have a FCC license so I could legally operate one, well...kind of. The problem is, they don't exist for commercial market automotive applications, only military, and no, that stuff you see advertised to put in your car isn't real. :nono:
