Can a pioneer DEHP6400 run the stock CD Changer

My friend wants to put a Pioneer DEHP 6400 Head unit into his 2000 C5. The car already has a Factory 12 disc changer in it. Is there a harness or switching device to retain his CD changer and upgrade the HU?

NO. Even though the stock 12 disc changer is made by Pioneer, it has a GM proprietary interface, which will only work with GM radios (and some older Rockford Fosgate units, also made by Delco)

Looks like XM radio will replace the 12 disc changer.
