Default Will Focal 165K2 6.5" 2-Way Components fit in my 98 vert?

Will these fit in the doors of my vette, maybe mounting the tweeters on the pillars?

Yes. but they won't sound right with the tweeters on the pillar. tweeters should be within 6" of mids

Thanks. What can I put in the back? Or should I just shove a stealth box in the hole and forget about the rears?

rear speakers = subwoofer.

anything in the back will screw up your sound. One only uses rear speakers if one can't afford nice speakers for the front... which one could likely afford if one didnt buy rear speakers <grin>

Ok, the rears are out. Will the Focal 165's powered by a JL 300/2 and a stealthbox powered by a JL 250/1 have enough kick?

Of course there will be the Alpine 7998 in the dash. I need to figure out where to put a CD changer next.

I just finished installing an awesome budget system in my 99 convertable. It sounds AWESOME! Email at gi_joe19@hotmail.com. I had to make very little modifications to the car!
