Default Original Bose Tape/AM/FM player

Lo all...
I've read the archives and I don't see an answer to my question. I have an aftermarket 120W (40X4/4-8 ohms) amplifier and aftermarket speakers. I would like to put the original tape player back in since it is an obvious originality deviation. I know the player sucks, but...originality is originality. Right now I have a Clarion CD player but it just doesn't look good and for some reason does not keep the correct time (what could this be???).

Can I put the old player back in and will it work with a 4 to 8 ohm amp? Since the original speakers were 2 ohms, I have to assume the tape player is as well and this would mean the answer to my question is...NOPE! Are there other reasons why it won't work?

Agree? Your thoughts?
Thanks!
Bill

Actually, the original Blose speakers are 1/2 Ohm but you answered your own question....no, you can't put anything on that stock HU but the Blose speakers/amps that were designed for it. It's a curse of the C4.

As you can see from my sig I too have a 35th Anniversary Edition. I was wondering why you wanted to put the stock Blose system back in yours? Are you planning to show or sell it any time soon? I ask because I have put a high-end stereo system in my 35th without altering or damaging the interior in any way. I kept the stock Blose system to reinstall in case I plan to sell or show it in a stock class. My point is, why worry if the cars stereo doesn't look stock until you need it to be as long as you don't modify, alter or otherwise damage any of the interior in the process?

I have an Alpine HU, Image Dynamics component sets in the doors and dash and this in the rear:

Let me know if you need any help carefully installing stuff without harming that interior. I spent a lot of time working out the logistics of it.
